Surf Coast Beach House

This is a major renovation that extended and altered a single storey flat roof brick veneer residence.  The additions give north facing double glazed windows to the main living area and opens up the house to the main garden area and lap pool.

The clients needed additional living space and more bedroom space.  A new lap pool was constructed along the other side boundary.  The design required that the house relate better and open up to the garden area and also tie in with the new pool.

The design brief also required a new roof form to connect the whole house.  We designed a roof to reflect and reference the surrounding hills, sand dunes and surf.  The ceiling of the additions follows the roof line.
